What your visitors see
A short form asks for the address and the postcode, and, if the visitor wants to say, the type of home and the number of bedrooms. A few seconds later they see a headline figure with the likely range under it.

Get paid when a visitor upgrades to a full report
The free box gives a range. The full report shows the working: the sales it rests on, how the range was set and what could change the figure. A visitor who wants that presses the button in your box.
- When a visitor follows your link and buys a report, a report pack or an Expert Property Review, you earn 25% of what they pay, not counting VAT. We may set a different percentage when we approve you, and your account shows the one that applies to you.
- A sale counts for you when the visitor follows your link and buys within 30 days.
- We hold commission for 30 days after a sale, in case of a refund. After that it is paid each month by bank transfer once it reaches £50.00.
- We never tell you who bought, with one exception: if you are an estate agency and a customer who has paid asks us to pass their details to you, we do. Your account shows how many people followed your link, and the date, product and commission of each sale credited to you.
Our own calculation, tested on thousands of sales
The estimate is PMD's own calculation, built by us and tested against thousands of recorded sales. It weighs the sales nearby, carries the home's own last sale forward to today's price level where it is on record, and uses the floor area from the home's energy certificate where we hold one.
The full report goes further. Its calculation takes into account the work a home needs or has had done, along with a host of other adjustments, and the report shows the working.
It works for homes in England and Wales. Scotland and Northern Ireland are not covered yet.

Questions about the free valuation tool
Is the free property valuation tool really free?
Yes. There is no fee to apply, to join or to use the box. We pay you commission when a visitor buys; you pay us nothing.
Is it a RICS valuation?
No. It is an automated estimate from comparable sales, not a RICS or mortgage valuation, and not a survey. Nobody visits the home.
Our Affiliate Programme Terms ask you to describe it as an estimate, never as a valuation or a guarantee, wherever you share it.
How do I add the valuation tool to my website?
After we approve you, sign in, list the websites where the box may appear (up to 5) and switch it on. Then copy the single line of code from your account and paste it into a page that lets you add a code snippet. The box only works on the websites you list.
Can I make the valuation tool match my brand?
Yes. You choose the colours, the button colour, the font, the text size, the corner roundness and the width, and you can change them at any time without pasting new code. We check that the text can be read on your colours before we save them.
What does my visitor see when they want a full report?
The box shows a button to the full report on our website. The link carries your code, and the address your visitor typed is filled in for them. They choose whether to buy.
How much commission do I earn, and when am I paid?
You earn 25% of what a customer pays for a report, a report pack or an Expert Property Review, not counting VAT, unless we set a different percentage for you when we approve you. A sale counts when the visitor follows your link and buys within 30 days.
We hold commission for 30 days in case of a refund, then pay it each month by bank transfer once it reaches £50.00. A smaller amount carries over to the next month.
Which areas does the valuation tool cover?
It covers homes in England and Wales. Scotland and Northern Ireland are not covered yet.
Are there limits on how often it can be used?
To stop misuse, each visitor's connection can ask for up to 100 estimates a day, and your box answers up to 5000 a day.
Can I see who used it, and who bought?
Your account shows how many times the box was used and how many people followed your link. If we have set your account up as an estate agency account, it also lists each free estimate shown on your website: the address typed, the type of home, the bedrooms and the estimate. The box does not collect your visitor's name, email address or phone number. We tell you who bought only if a customer, after paying, asks us to pass their details to you.
