Version 10 October 2026
Effective from 11 October 2026
10.1 What we use
PMD may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs and similar technologies for essential website functions, account security, preferences, analytics and, where enabled, marketing.
10.2 Essential technologies
Strictly necessary technologies may be used without optional consent where permitted by law, for example to authenticate users, maintain a secure session, remember a basket/order state, prevent fraud, balance traffic or protect the service.
10.3 Analytics and optional technologies
Where consent is required, non-essential analytics, advertising or similar technologies will not be set or accessed until the user has made the required choice. Rejecting optional cookies must be as straightforward as accepting them.
10.4 Cookie banner
You can change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of this website.
10.5 Current cookie table
| Provider | Name | Type | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Property Market Data | pmd_consent | Cookie | Remembers your cookie choice, so the banner does not ask again on every page. | Strictly necessary | 180 days |
| Property Market Data | __Host-pmd_my | Cookie | Keeps you signed in to My PMD after you enter your sign-in code, so you do not have to sign in again on every page. | Strictly necessary | 30 days at most |
| Property Market Data | __Host-pmd_aff | Cookie | Keeps an affiliate signed in to their affiliate account after they enter their sign-in code, so they do not have to sign in again on every page. | Strictly necessary | 30 days at most |
| Property Market Data | pmd_session | Cookie | Keeps an estate agent or a member of PMD staff signed in to the PMD platform after they enter their sign-in code, so they do not have to sign in again on every page. | Strictly necessary | 24 hours |
| Property Market Data | pmd_sales_session | Cookie | Keeps a PMD sales representative signed in to the Sales Portal after they enter their sign-in code, so they do not have to sign in again on every page. | Strictly necessary | 24 hours |
| Property Market Data | pmd_ft | Cookie | Records how you first found this site: the campaign details in the link, the first page you saw and the website you came from. It helps us see which of our marketing leads to enquiries. | Analytics (only if you accept) | 90 days |
| Property Market Data | pmd_lt | Cookie | Records the most recent link or website that brought you here: the campaign details, the page you landed on and the website you came from. It helps us see which of our marketing leads to enquiries. | Analytics (only if you accept) | 90 days |
| _ga | Cookie | Google Analytics uses it to tell visitors apart, so we can count visits and see which pages are useful. | Analytics (only if you accept) | 2 years | |
| _ga_SGERFQFPMR | Cookie | Google Analytics uses it to keep track of a visit, so we can see how a session moves through the site. | Analytics (only if you accept) | 2 years | |
| Property Market Data | pmd_token | Local storage | Keeps an estate agent or a member of PMD staff signed in on the admin pages of the PMD platform, next to the sign-in session cookie. | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out or clear your browser data (the sign-in inside it stops working after 24 hours) |
| Property Market Data | pmd.journey.v1 | Session storage | Keeps the answers you have given while you value your home (the property you chose and what you told us about it), so a reload of the page does not lose them. It never holds your email address, a sign-in code or any payment detail. | Strictly necessary | Until you close the browser tab, or you go to pay |
| Cloudflare | Cloudflare Turnstile | Cookies or local storage kept by a Cloudflare widget | Checks that a form is being completed by a person and not by an automated program. Cloudflare says the check relies on cookies and local storage in your browser to keep its state, and that the signals it uses are strictly necessary for detecting and blocking bots. Cloudflare does not publish the names of what it keeps. | Strictly necessary | Not published by Cloudflare |
10.5A Browser storage and the bot check
The table above lists every cookie, and every item of browser storage, that this website can set. Some of the items in it are not cookies: they are kept in your browser's storage, and the Type column says which.
When you start a report, the page keeps the property you chose and the answers you give in your browser's session storage, under the name pmd.journey.v1, so that reloading the page does not lose them. It is removed when you close the tab or go to pay. It stays in your browser and is not sent anywhere by itself, and it never holds your email address, a sign-in code or a payment detail.
Some of our forms show a bot check provided by Cloudflare, called Turnstile (see clause 9.9A of our Privacy Notice). Cloudflare says that the check relies on cookies and local storage in your browser, and that the signals it uses are strictly necessary for detecting and blocking bots. Cloudflare does not publish the names or lifetimes of what it keeps, so we cannot list them in the table.
10.6 Browser controls
Users can also control cookies through browser settings, although blocking essential technologies may prevent account or checkout functions from working.
